Choosing the perfect fall event menu
In our last blog, we talked about how to choose a catering company for your event. One of our tips was to find out how flexible they could be with the menu both in style and meeting specific needs.
We love working with clients to make their event special, whether it’s a wedding or corporate event. Food is vital to setting the mood and is also a major budgetary consideration so finding just the right menu for each client is important.
Ingredients and presentation both are a big part of a successful catered event. We use mostly homegrown vegetables and other locally sourced ingredients as much as possible. We try to build our menus around seasonal produce to give you and your guests a more affordable and fantastically delicious dining experience.
Our team works with each client to customize the menu but we are also often asked for direction or even to simply plan the menu with a few guidelines in mind. For example, here is a tasty, nutrient-rich menu we recently built that is perfect for an autumn event.
Composed Waldorf Salad-this rich and flavorful salad is filled with many different types of fall fruits, including two different types of apples.
Crispy Chicken Thighs with Garlic and Rosemary-garlic and rosemary blend together to make this crispy chicken full of flavor. Thighs tend to hold their moisture better and provide just the right amount of protein.
Roasted Brussel Sprouts-not everyone’s favorite vegetable, but how we make ours it will be hard for anyone to say no. This fall vegetable is packed with amazing taste and vitamins.
Hasselback Sweet Potatoes-these are not your traditional sweet buttered potatoes. Savory meets sweet in these delicious and gorgeously prepared sweet potatoes.
Apple Spice Cake-you can’t stop eating without dessert! The best way to end any savory meal is with a bit of seasonal spice cake.
Are you hosting an event this fall? Or perhaps even preparing for a simple holiday meal for your team. Let our catering team take away your worries with handcrafted, mostly locally sourced catered food. Give us a call to discuss your menu!
